Shamanic Journeying for parents

Shamanic journeying is a timeless, non-denominational practice of self-inquiry, connection, and discovery. Through drumming, focused intention, and relaxed awareness, we create space to connect more deeply with our own inner strength and wisdom, our relationships, and the natural world.

Parenthood can hold an incredible mix of experiences—joy and frustration, deep connection and distance, confidence and uncertainty. It can reshape our identity, our relationships, and the way we see ourselves. It can also bring old patterns and experiences from our own childhood to the surface, often in unexpected ways.

In this series, we’ll bring the practice of shamanic journeying into the experience of parenthood. Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns within ourselves and our families, discover ways to nurture and support ourselves as parents, and gain new perspectives on our relationships with our children and loved ones.

This practice can be especially meaningful for parents seeking a deeper connection with neurodivergent, non-speaking, highly sensitive, or special-needs children. Journeying offers an opportunity to step outside our usual ways of understanding and become curious about what else we might discover.

The series will take place as a small group over Zoom. There is something powerful—and often reassuring—about exploring parenthood alongside others. You may discover that some of the experiences that have felt uniquely yours are shared by more parents than you realized.

No previous experience or special materials are needed. Simply bring some curiosity, openness, and a comfortable place to join the sessions. Live drumming will accompany the journeys, so headphones and a quiet, private space are recommended.
